Typing speed test
Build accuracy first. Let speed follow.
How your score is calculated
WPM is the number of correctly matched characters divided by five, divided by elapsed minutes. CPM uses the same correct-character count without dividing by five. Accuracy is the proportion of your current text that matches the passage at the same character positions.
Typing 150 correct characters in 30 seconds gives (150 ÷ 5) ÷ 0.5 = 60 WPM. The same performance is 300 CPM.
Practice in three languages
Choose English, Urdu or Arabic before starting. The passage and input direction change together. The interface and score labels stay in English. Pasting and dropping text are disabled during this practice test.
What the score means
This is a practice score, not a certified assessment. Backspace is allowed: the mismatch count reflects your current text, not every error you have ever made. Urdu and Arabic also use the five-character WPM convention, so direct comparisons across languages can be misleading.
What happens when I finish the passage early?
The test ends immediately and calculates the score using actual elapsed time.
Can I change the duration while typing?
Changing the duration or language resets the test. Restart also clears the current attempt.
